Last fall we sent out a survey to our league members and made some exciting new changes based on the responses we received. The overwhelming response was to have more camaraderie and the ability to play with other golfers in the league.
We have listened and are making some significant changes based on the feedback we have received. The league will now be a shotgun start every week. For those that might not be familiar with what a shotgun start is, all golfers tee off at the same time starting on different holes and continue playing till everyone comes back around to the hole they started on. The advantage of a shot gun start is that everyone starts at the same time and finishes at the same time making for a more sociable league.
The other request was to get to play the other holes on the course. In 2010 we will be able to rotate the league between the original 9 and the new 9 each week, instead of always playing the same holes over and over again.
We will be hosting both women’s and men’s league on Tuesday evenings. This will allow us to have a shotgun start every week at 5:15 PM, as well as rotate the groups between the original 9 holes (#1-#7,#17,#18) and the new 9 holes (#8-#16) so one week the men will be on one nine and the ladies will be on the other nine.
We also paid close attention to the feedback that was provided from a Food and Beverage standpoint in T.F. Boonies. In 2009 we tried to provide some healthy fresh options for appetizer night, but we have been asked for daily food and drink specials instead of a menu we select. For 2010 we will be offering daily specials with an opening dinner, midsummer dinner, and a closing meal.
Tanna Farms golf league is open to all golfers of all levels so please invite your friends to join the league. If you have any questions or need further details please email me or call the pro shop.
Companies please keep Tanna Farms in mind when planning your 2010 leagues.
